Daniel Sutcliffe in action for Trinity against Sligo IT
2010/2011 sports scholar Daniel Sutcliffe was part of the Dublin side that overcame Wexford in the U-21 Leinster final on Thursday.
Screened live on TG4, the game saw Dublin out-muscle their rivals 1-18 to 0-11, with Sutcliffe shining in a midfield that dominated Tony Dempsey Yellow Bellies, contributing a point to his side’s efforts. The BESS (Business, Economics, and Social Studies) student remained on the pitch for the entire game, capping a hugely successful season in which he made the senior panel for the recent defeat to Kilkenny.
Martin Quilty, a former member of Trinity’s GAA club, was also on the pitch on Thursday, joining Sutcliffe on the senior panel for the Kilkenny match.
