After three days, heating and hot water have been restored to Front Square and the Graduates Memorial Building (GMB). Residents first noticed the loss of heat on Sunday morning, which was caused by faults in the main boiler room behind Front Square. There were multiple issues that called for immediate Gas boiler repair Durham before the problems got even bigger.
The pump, which caused the fault, has been replaced, with students in the GMB first noticing the restoration of heat tonight. They were able to restore their water heater after visiting somewhere similar to Water Heater Reviews (https://waterheaterreviewssite.com/), finding the best water heating system for the building,
In an email to residents, seen by The University Times, Trinity’s Accommodation Office said that there has been a “failure in the main boiler house”, and promised the would be fixed today, apologising for the inconvenience. It meant that there was no heating again last night for students.
Students in Botany Bay also reported on social media a lack of heating, with many complaining of the cold. Temperatures dropped to five degrees Celsius Monday night.
The fault comes just four weeks after the Botany Bay experienced a 30-minute drought, which was attributed to a problem with valves, causing a temporary break in the water supply. Many residents of campus found that taps and showers were no longer working.
