Channing Kehoe Elected Communications Officer

Channing Kehoe won 81.64% of the vote.

Channing Kehoe has been elected Communications Officer the first count, receiving 2,424 votes from a total valid poll of 2,969. 545 students voted to re-open nominations.

 

In her election speech, Keohoe said “I’m so so grateful to my campaign team” followed by a chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ from the crowd for a member of their campaign team.

In a poll conducted by The University Times Channing Kehoe was predicted to receive 79% of the vote share for the Comms and Marketing race. The RON vote of the poll stands at 139 votes which although somewhat higher than other races, has a historic trend of being higher in races where the candidate is uncontested. 

 

Kehoe ran her campaign on high levels of engagement, clear messaging and accessibility. Stating that it is their priority that students understand what their union is doing for them, why it is important and what they can do to participate. 

 

The Ents, Welfare and Equality Race, Education race, and Presidential race remain to be called.
