Revellers and dubious Confidence Man fans will descend on campus tonight to dance on the cobblestones.

Speaking to The University Times Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union ENTS Officer Peadar Walsh said: “This year has been such an incredible journey and I feel this is an amazing way to cap it off” and thanked those in union who have worked to make this happen and his events partners: MCD, and College’s Estates and Facilities team.

Walsh said that his top fun tip is: “Have a good meal before you go in”.

Approximately 7,000 tickets have been sold for what has been called Europe’s biggest private party. The Journal reported that the weather today could reach 22 degrees Celsius.

On a more serious point he said: “If you see anyone that is being aggressive pushing you, or just being an overall dickhead in the crowd, or if someone is making you feel uncomfortable, don’t feel like just because you’re at a festival that this is normal behaviour.”

“There are stewards everywhere at T-Ball and they have clear instructions for how to deal with situations like that. They have authority to remove people from the ball. There’s a process where if you report something to a steward, they will phone in other security and a response team will be dispatched. That is completely standard, and that is something you need to take advantage of.”

He stated: “Don’t feel like it’s just normal behaviour to get pushed around the place.”

Concluding the short interview, Walsh said that his favourite act to play tonight is TradSoc, and that since he attended the Glasgow trip with them he is now “addicted to trad music”.
