Trinity’s Success in QS World Ranking by Subject

Five Trinity courses were placed in the QS World University Rankings 2024.

Playing a significant role in the global higher education landscape, the QS World University Ranking released the fourteenth edition of the QS World Rankings by subject, featuring 1500+ universities in 96 countries and territories covering over 55 individual subjects across 5 broad subject areas. The rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations per paper, and H-index citations. This provides valuable insights for prospective students, academics, and policymakers looking to make informed decisions about higher education institutions worldwide. 

After rising to 81st place in the world university ranking in 2024, Trinity continues to reflect its academic prowess, with five subjects in the top 50 globally in the latest subject-wise ranking, which includes English (21), nursing (26), pharmacy (26), performing arts (40), and theology (49).

The university has a remarkable presence in 17 other subjects in the QS top 100 globally (for a total of 22 in the top 100): Archaeology, Classics and Ancient History, History, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Accounting & Finance, Education, Law, Politics & International Studies, Social Policy & Administration, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Dentistry, Medicine, Psychology, Geography and Materials Science.

Overall, Trinity ranks for 40 subjects. Of these, 20 climbed the table, 3 dropped, 13 remained unchanged, and 4 ranked for the first time, showing Trinity’s overall upward trajectory.
