Erwin Joos, curator of the Eugeen van Mieghem museum in Antwerp will deliver a lecture on the artist at The Hugh Lane. Working in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, van Mieghem’s art depicts scenes of social life and his work represents a unique view of life in the port town where he spent most of his life.
