Treat it Like a Festival!

Overall, keep in mind you are at the largest private party in Europe. In three weeks you’ll more than likely be hauling yourself to the RDS to sit some tedious exam, so have fun! Treat it like a festival and bring all the things you might need, whether that be a sneaky granola bar, glasses, eye drops or tissues. Don’t be too stressed with what you’re gonna wear: save that for the Law and BESS balls! By eight o’clock tonight, no-one’s going to even care what you’re wearing. Just focus on having a brilliant night. Before the hangover starts at least.

Be Drink Smart and Sneak-a-drink-in Smart

Try to make your goal simple and aim to get inside the front gate. Perhaps, keep it to a naggin and a half at pre-drinks. Plus, sneaking in drink is a must! After all, it’s essential to maintain the perfect level of drunk so you can actually enjoy all the house music going on. So whether you choose to stuff vodka-filled Ziploc bags in your bra or stealthily pour rum into Clearasil bottles make sure you achieve and maintain the perfect level of drunk throughout the night and well into early morning.

Leave the Makeup on the Vanity Table

No-one wants to be the girl taking up space in the portaloo awkwardly trying to rectify crooked eyeliner. It’s night time – no one’s going to notice if your foundation is a little less prominent than it was at the beginning of the night. And even if they do, is anyone going to remember what your face looked like post pre-drinks? Definitely not. Do yourself a favour: tan your face and have a good night. Something that’s difficult to achieve within the tight confines of a portable toilet.

Fluffy Socks are a Must

You can get a two pack for €3 in Pennys, and I can promise you they’ll provide you with happiness whether you’re wearing flats or heels. Granted, they’ll provide a bigger sigh of relief if you’re wearing the heels. They will be warm and cozy regardless of who you shifted. Trust me: they’ll be your saviour!

Soak It All Up

Even though you may think that eating is cheating, trust me it’s not. You need to eat something that will set yourself up for partying into the early hours of Saturday. It may even lessen the grim hangover you’ll experience when you do wake up later that day. So do yourself a favour and at least half line your stomach to prepare for the following twelve hours.
