Three Questions: Presidential Candidates

Our UT Election Coverage team have three questions for the presidential candidates.

Nessan Harpur
1. Your manifesto states that you’d like to promote sexual safety. In what ways would you like to see this done?
2. Would you make college wide events for non EU students attractive to EU students or would they be exclusively for non EU students?

3. You state that you’d like to introduce semesterisation. Would you push for the model that UCD has or lobby for a different kind all together?

Lynn Ruane
1. How do you see your proposed protest innovation group being formed?
2. How would you hope to market Trinity to under privileged students?
3. Your manifesto outlines a need for communication networks and a promotion of activities in disadvantaged areas. Would this mean working with VTP, VDP and TAP or do you hope to build a separate SU entity?
Gabriel Adewusi
1. What are your policies towards issues not addressed in your manifesto such as mental and sexual health, and LGBTQ* rights?
2. How would you like to see a central complaints system developed?
3. You wish to market the disability service more. How would you deal with an increase of demand in a year where there have been drastic cuts to student services?

Conor O’Meara
1. What ideas do you have for your proposed informative advertising platforms?
2. With current cuts to services, where would you find funding to pay for new SU jobs?
3. Is lobbying the Health Science department for new electives something you feel is under your control? If so, how would you go about doing it?
