March hotspots for music and a boogie

Hen’s Teeth x Rory Bowens – 17th March

Hen’s Teeth have collaborated with NTS Radio’s Rory Bowens for an afternoon of non-traditional trad music. Experimental composer Ian Nyquist will be performing a bodhrán synthesis set alongside harpist Róisín Berkeley. Lankum’s Ian Lynch will play a DJ set of ballad oddities. 

There will be food and drinks provided by Sando Paradiso and Hen’s Teeth. Doors open at 2pm, with music starting at 3pm. Tickets are available on eventbrite.

D’Angelo: A Live Tribute – 16th March

An eleven-piece ensemble, featuring Irish talent from Danny Groenland to Max Zaska, takes over the Sugar Club to pay tribute to the late neo-soul visionary, D’Angelo. Tickets are €20.

 

Alfa Mist – 19th March

London musician Alfa Mist brings his pioneering fusion of jazz and hip-hop to Whelan’s. Drawing on his repertoire of free-flowing, soulful tracks, he channels rhythm and raw emotion. Tickets are €31.50.

 

Yumi Zouma – 27th March

Dream-pop outfit Yumi Zouma bring their wistful indie-pop from New Zealand to the Workman’s Club, showcasing their shimmering, atmospheric melodies. Tickets are €25.90.

 

bar italia- 18th March

Named after the Soho café, London-based rock band and Dean Blunt collaborators bar italia are playing in The Button Factory as part of the tour for their new album ‘Some Like It Hot’. Tickets are €28.
