The NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves have signed Guard CJ Fulton to a training camp, Exhibit-10 deal, per team release. Fulton, played collegiately at Charleston College, where he averaged 7.3 Points Per Game on a 42.7 Field Goal Percentage (FG%) and 37.1 3 point FG%. Fulton, a native of Belfast, Ireland, will attempt to make history by becoming the 2nd ever Irish born player to play in the NBA, and the first since Pat Burke, who played 65 games across 3 seasons with the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns. Fulton logged a total of 21 minutes between two games with the Timberwolves’ summer league roster, the NBA’s two week long showcase league where young players attempt to make a lasting impression on the league. “It was a bit overwhelming at first, I had to adjust to a new normal, but now I’ve come through it and trained with them. I know I belong there, and it has motivated me even more to get out there and show what I can do,” Fulton told BBC News. Fulton’s Timberwolves first preseason action is at 2:00 GMT against the Denver Nuggets, where he will continue to try to make a lasting impression.
