The Scholars of Trinity College Dublin will join the league of nude calendars starting next week with the launch of The Scholars and Fellows Charity Calendar. All proceeds of the calendar, retailing at 10 euro each, will go towards the Trinity Access Programmes and the Community After School Project. The launch of this project will take place on Monday December 9 from 4-6pm in the Global Room in the Biotechnology building, with refreshments provided and calendars available to purchase.

Speaking to The University Times about the motivation for the calendar, Secretary to the Scholars, Amy Worrall, stated: “We have confirmed our two charities as the Trinity Access Programmes and the Community After School Project, in order to focus on small educational programmes in the North and South inner city of Dublin. We were also generously supported by the Trinity Association and Trust and the Provost’s Office for the project.

“It’s an exciting time to see all the work come to fruition in the final product and we are really looking forward to making an impact on these worthy educational causes. The calendars will be available in the SU Shops, the Library Shop and at stalls around the college next week, retailing at €10.”

The calendar will be affiliated with the college and Trinity logos will be included on it.

Next week will also see the launch of the Trinity Cancer Soc Naked Calendar, which will feature writers from The University Times as well as members of The Phil, The Hist, TTV and Trinity FM, among others. The Cancer Soc calendars will go on sale Wednesday December 11.
