On the morning of March 27th, the crew of the upcoming Lenny Abrahamson feature “Hillside Drive” filmed a scene in Front Square, involving three shots. The scene saw characters walk from the Campanile toward the Rubrics. According to a crew member, the scene is set in the 1970s. Vintage cars and bicycles spotted Front Square this morning as tourists and onlookers gathered to observe the filming.
A portion of the area was closed off to pedestrians this morning to allow for filming, opening up intermittently so they could cross, with filming finishing around 12:45 pm.
Abrahamson, known for having directed the hit 2020 series “Normal People”, based on the eponymous book by Trinity alumna, Sally Rooney.
