5. Reasons to go to the cinema this month

There’s a bunch of brilliant and exciting films either already on screen or about to be released soon that give us plenty of reasons for going to the cinema. Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent and Hasan Hadi’s Iraqi film The President’s Cake were both big winners at Cannes last year. There is also Óliver Laxe’s road-trip film Sirāt. On a more commercial strand, we have Mona Fastvold’s The Testament of Ann Lee and Tom Harper’s Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
