Dublin University Football Club’s Staggering Victory Against the City of Armagh TFC

DUFC faced off against the City of Armagh Rugby Football Club in a thrilling match-up on March 28th

The Dublin University Rugby Football Club – Trinity College Dublin’s rugby union club – went head-to-head against the City of Armagh Rugby Football Club on March 28th. Dublin University were able to comfortably secure a victory against Armagh, achieving a final scoreline of 26-17.

While this result signified a turn for the worse for Armagh, who were pushed down to 6th position on the Division 1B All-Ireland League table, this marks a significant triumph for Dublin University, who are now just one point behind the current League leaders, Old Wesley.

The final match of the season is set to take place on April 4th against Blackrock College RFC in Stradbrook. Significantly, this will be the deciding factor on whether Trinity’s rugby union club will be able to obtain first position on the League table.

With UCD facing relegation in Division 1A, Dublin University might be able to take the place of their long-standing rivals for a spot in the first division of the All-Ireland League for the 2026-2027 season.
