Arts Block v Hamilton – Street Style 1

Laura Morley & Anna O’ Shea.

Typically, people would describe quintessential college-student garb as “scruffy” or perhaps “languid”; hoodies, sweats and runners would usually come to mind when people are quizzed about the typical outfit of a student.  In reality, this is certainly not the case.  As arts students ourselves, we have seen the style being strutted in the Arts Block on a daily basis.  Certainly not amateur, Trinity students definitely know how to dress.  However, we had had little experience of the Hamilton, and were both rather wary of the rumours ‘exclusive hoody-wearing’ we had heard.  In an attempt to see exactly how people were dressed, we decided to have a quick stroll around campus, including an adventure to the aforementioned Hamilton.

Both new to the street style, we were quite surprised at the number of people who declined our offer of being featured on the University Times website, be it due to timidity or self-consciousness.  We did manage to capture a few gems on such a beautiful sunny day, however.  Fashion gurus, take note.
