Dublin University Badminton Club (DUBC) won three Student Sport Ireland (SSI) League Matches recently. They defeated TUD Tallaght campus 5-0 on October 8th, the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) (Team 2) 5-0 on October 17th, and South East Technological University (SETU) Waterford 5-0 on October 21st.
DUBC is in Division E with SETU Waterford, RCSI Team 2, and TU Dublin (TUD) Tallaght Campus Team 2. They are currently ranked first, having won both all they played. They are followed by RCSI Team 2, who have won two of their three matches, TUD Tallaght Campus Team 2, who have won one of their three matches, and SETU Waterford, who have lost both matches they’ve played.
As DUBC is first in Division E, they now qualify fot the next stage of the SSI League.
DUBC came first for the SSI League, Cup, and Intervarsities, making them triple champions, in 2023-24. They came second in the SSI league in 2022-23, and first in 2021-22.
