On February 7th, Trinity Sailing hosted 18 teams (108 people) for their Women at the Helm Event at Royal St George Yacht Club in Dún Laoghaire. The 2026 event follows the inaugural Women at the Helm 2025 event, which also aimed to promote inclusivity and empower female athletes.

The event, which was open to college students and alumni, was in a 3v3 racing format, where each team had three women at the wheel. Sailors from across the island joined in the festivities, including students from Cork, Galway, Belfast, and Limerick.

Trinity Sailing managed to complete 69 races, with a Trinity Team, TCDLavender, securing first place, where two other Trinity teams placed 5th and 6th.
