Four candidates’ names were announced on the steps of House 6 today, November 10th, as the race for TCDSU President prepares to kick off. The candidates are Lorenzo Cheasty, current Housing Rights Officer, Grace McNally, current Health Science Convenor, Callum O’Kelly, a second year BESS student, and Jacob Barron. The electoral commission opened nominations for the candidates for the bye-elections on November 3rd and closed them on November 10th.
Chair of the Electoral Commission (EC), Bailey Armstong, announced names of the candidates and wished them luck on their campaigns.
After rescheduling from the EC, pre-campaigning will end on November 17th, with campaigning set to start on the 23rd. Voting for the bye-election will begin on Wednesday the 26th at 10am and end at 4pm on Friday the 28th. Results will be announced the evening of the 28th, with location and specific times to be determined.
