Motions to approve the nomination and selection of the BDS-Implementation Committee for the 2026/27 academic year were a key part of the agenda for the final Comhairle this evening. The outgoing committee members, Secretary Elisa Zito and Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Chair Harry Johnston, were acknowledged and thanked for their “outstanding dedication to BDS and Pro-Palestine advocacy in Trinity and nationally”.
The first motion approves the nomination by the BDS-Implementation Committee of Grace McNally (current Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union (TCDSU) President) as its Secretary for the 2026/27 academic year.
The motion was proposed by Rose Sevim, the Citizenship Officer, and seconded by Class Representative, Seán Radcliffe.
The next motion approved the nomination by the BDS-Implementation Committee of Alex McArdle as its Committee Vice Chair for the 2026/27 academic year. The motion was proposed by Rose Sevim, the Citizenship Officer, and seconded by Union President Grace McNally.
The final motion approves the nomination of Seán Radcliffe by the BDS-Implementation Committee as Chair of the committee for the 2026/27 school year. The motion was proposed by Rose Sevim, the Citizenship Officer, and seconded by Union President Grace McNally.
All motions passed with McNally, McArdle, and Radcliffe nominated for their respective positions.
