A fire at Trinity College Dublin’s Biomedical Sciences Institute (TBSI) led to an emergency response on Wednesday, June 17, shortly before 12pm.
Fire engines were seen outside the building as emergency services attended the scene. According to an Instagram post from Dublin Fire Brigade, “At the peak of the fire, over 30 firefighters/paramedics attended the scene.” The fire was declared under control at 1pm.
The incident follows a chemical spill at the TBSI earlier this year, which resulted in the hospitalisation of three people.
This is a developing story.
