Charlie Kirk, conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed at Utah Valley University (UVU). The announcement came this evening from President Trump after Kirk was critically injured earlier this afternoon.
The UVU campus was closed down following the incident. A suspect was brought into custody and later released. No further suspects have been announced.
Kirk rose to popularity after founding Turning Point USA, in which he would spread conservative ideals on college campuses through debate.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and his two young children.
