~20 Sanctuary Scholars from Gaza Denied Irish Visas

It is being reported that about 20 students who have fully funded scholarships to Irish universities have had their visas denied.

RTÉ reported that the Department of Justice received 69 third-level study visa applications from Palestinian nationals, accepting 9 and refusing 27.

The Green Party released a statement reading “Ministers must intervene over Gaza student visa refusals” calling on Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, Jim O’Callaghan and Minister for Further and Higher Education, James Lawless, to intervene.
