Letters to the Editor are reader responses to what we publish. We post and print letters that respond to specific articles, correct or challenge our reporting, react to campus news, or raise matters of public interest.
Send letters to editor@universitytimes.ie with “Letter to the Editor” in the subject line. You may also post letters to Teach 6 #22, Front Square, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin 2, D02 FD37.
Include
(1) Your full name, course, and year (role at College if you’re a staff member or graduating year if you’re an alumnus).
(2) If you’re responding to something we published, include the link or headline and date.
(3) Any relevant affiliation (society position, political party, job, etc.). This will be published alongside your name.
Length
Keep letters under 250 words. Anything longer is better suited to a comment piece. Learn more about submitting op-eds at https://universitytimes.ie/contribute/.
Anonymity
We will not publish anonymous articles save for extreme circumstances. For more information, see our editorial and ethics policy here: https://universitytimes.ie/editorialpolicy/.
Corrections
If something is factually incorrect, you do not need to write a letter to the editor. Simply email info@universitytimes.ie to alert us.
